My twist on Dr. Seuss "One Fish Two Fish". When I was little when I read the Dr. Seuss books, I envisioned his drawings in real life. Wanted to do this for a long time, but finally did for my up coming show in LaJolla this weekend. That is where the author lived. Kind of big here. Just 40 min. South of my home.

I must add that the artistic composition is so incorrect, but that is how it is on the cover. I wanted to keep it close to the original concept.

Brilliant concept, beautifully rendered, perfectly conceived. Ha, look at the salmon, wonderful! As a fan of both Dr. Seuss and yourself how could I not fave this.

Dr Suess. A big fav of mine. I see dA art all the time that has Suess-like qualities and I love it. So you have probalby seen his sculptures then? A lot of them are made to put on a wall, like a successful safari display. They are sooo wonderful. I also have a book that has 'mature theme' works in. When I saw them I was really sorta shocked.
My Dr. Suess, did THAT????
I read some of those children's books so many times over and over I still know most of the eaiser ones.
I was really pleased when they had a gallery full of his raw drawings and letters and stuff in addition to famous artwork at the Appleton Museum of Art one year in FL while I was there.

Oh thank you very much! I know it is not good composition wise, but I wanted to keep it as close as I could to the concept on the cover of the book. Thanks for the comment! - Linda

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
